I hope that all is well and that your assignments are coming along nicely. Yes, unfortunately for some, we have to work to have play…but then with no downs you can’t enjoy the ups, bads the goods, lows the highs. It gives us transition, perspective.
The latest TVU Ealing Carnage Tour was a great success! Hope you all had a fantastic time. So too did the other events like the Geek Beats and Rock Night go down well. Apologies however have to be given for parts of the sound quality on the Rock Night not being great. It was not the Technicians fault. Regrettably we have a very unforgiving Sound Limiter in the Hall (due to Licensing Restrictions)…but we still do what we can!
We are arranging to have events on a regular basis in the Bar/Hall throughout the weeks ahead. Do any of you have ideas that you would like to be considered/employed/put into action!? If so, please be apart of our Regular Event meetings! The notification of times will be sent out via our TVUSU Party Central group on facebook. Some ideas are: more Quiz Nights, Games Nights, Cocktail + Karaoke Nights and iPod Nights: where you can play your own stuff off your iPod…Your favourite Tunes or your own stuff….show people and get feedback! J …less headphones, more speakers!
We have a new Society Starting Up! :D It is the Music and Media Society. We have had people wanting to start up a Music Technology Society as well…but why not all people join this group? We have such a wide range of talent at TVU. It would be fantastic to get all people in one group….Performers to showcase their talent, Tech students to do the Technical and media students (to also showcase what they have) but also advertise the Event? Do what your good at! Be a Part of It!
This Year has been Far better then the Last. By Creating stronger underlying structures and support…the Union will continue to grow…become better! J
