Sports Association Team Sports Sports association encourages teams to organise themselves with each team having a committee structure and a place on the Sports Association Committee. We support the development of teams yet leave each sport to follow there own route in doing so. Training for the teams takes place predominantly on Monday evenings and will involve a mixture of fitness and technique. Team gym sessions can be arranged and strength and conditioning session are also available. The majority of our teams compete in BUSA (British Universities Sports Association) and SESSA (Southern England Student Sport Association) on Wednesday afternoons either playing at our local facilities or travelling around the Alongside the competitive element of the university sport comes the social aspect. We host a number of events through out the year including Varsity and the Sports Awards at the end of Semester two. In addition to this there is the infamous sports tour this year heading to Activities The union offers a small range of fitness classes and activities in the If you are not looking to participate in the activities themselves but have a skill in teaching activities, coaching or refereeing/umpiring (particularly umpiring) we are always looking for new people to work with. We may even be able to send you in a training course to help your development. Finally, I hope you enjoy TVU and I would urge you to use as many of the Union services provided, such as Sports Association, to make your University experience the best it can be. |
