Executive Team 09/10:
You may or may not know that Students’ Unions across the country are, by the majority, run by students for students. Thames Valley University Union is run by a group of hardworking students that were elected during the Semester 2 week 6 elections.
These students make up the Union Executive Committee (exec) and each of them have their own areas of the Students’ Union to look after, whether that be; the SU publications, campaigns, further education representation, societies, sports, academic representation or other services. Whilst they fulfill their day to day roles here at the
There are two type of officer that make up exec, sabbatical officers of which we have four who work full time in the Union, namely; The President, and three Vice-Presidents they are also the trustees of the union. The rest of exec is made up of part-time elected officers, they are student’s that volunteer their time to work in the union and represent the area of there position. They play an integral role in the decision making processes of the union.
The role of sabbaticals officers is very important to the day to day running of the SU; below you can access their mini blogs and contact details, I would defiantly recommend taking a look. They are all here to help you. So take a look at what they have to offer, because they may become quite valuable to you whilst at university.
